Frequently Asked Questions

Will I Get Paid?
Africulture Tanzania is a non-profit organization. There is no fee to enter the program. You will pay for your plane ticket, accommodation and food. A translator will be there for you most of time so you can reach your goals. One day we hope that we are going to reach our goals and you will only pay for your flight and  Africulture Tanzania will provide free accommodation.

What are we looking for at Africulture?
We are looking for passionate people who want to make a difference in the Pangani District and the Kikokwe village. English is required, also a willingness to learn Swahili is expected in order to better interact socially with the community. Translators will be available as required during the period of service. It's obvious that people are eager to learn what is within their age limit. Some of what they want to learn are within our plans and others are within their guardian's plans.

Why volunteer?
Volunteering is a time to give oneself and also a time to understand oneself.  Often volunteers come not just to contribute their own hands to bettering the lives of others, but also to better understand themselves and what it is within themselves that they really can offer.
